Bio
Zach Rhodus earned his Master of Public Administration degree from EKU and his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy as well. He started working at the Housing Authority of Richmond in 2009. He also was procurement officer, operations manager, and property manager during his time with the Housing Authority.
In 2013, he began working for EKU Workforce Development and Community Engagement’s OSHA Training Institute Education Center. His first position at EKU was OSHA training coordinator, then he later filled the positions of OSHA training specialist, OSHA program manager, and now associate director.
“I absolutely love the work that we do through Workforce Development and the OSHA Training Institute Education Center. We interact with the workforce within our community on a daily basis; we get the opportunity to see our students develop skills and grow throughout their career, and that work is very fulfilling. I am convinced that the training we provide at the OSHA Training Institute Education Center is protecting our workforce and helping people to return home safely to their families at the end of the day. On a personal note, I love that EKU is such a family friendly place to work; the flexibility is a huge perk for a busy family.
Outside of work, our family of four loves to travel and find new places to explore together; especially if there is a beach involved. I’m a big Star Wars fan, and a gamer as well. I also enjoy working on projects around the house and finding excuses to purchase new tools. Our family attends Vineyard Community Church in Richmond.”
